The voice.

What an amazing thing to see! That something that was invented by such a small country as the Netherlands is so popular around the world! This time it,is a very succesful television show called: "the voice". I myself must say that it is a fantastic show. The set-up is as follows: At first there are a lot of people that want to participate, from those people  few are chosen to audition at the so called blind auditions. Every coach, from where there are 4, must choose 10 people to form their team. That team must battle with their own members until there are 5 people left. Those 5 people will perform at the live-shows! With this type of auditions you will get a fair chance, because the ones that audition are just judged by their voices and not by their looks. I have just seen an episode of the voice UK and must admit that in the UK they are impressed with very little, in the Netherlands it is very different. In the Netherlands they have more to say about the voice itself and how they think they could help them with.

The voice is a big success!

Are baboons secretly humans?

Are baboons the next humans?

Recent studies have shown that baboons are very intelligent. For when you are at the zoo, you will have to watch out that they are not going to repeat what you have said. They can recognize and repeat four-letter-words just as easy as they can make their own monkey sounds. The baboons in the most recent study have shown us that they can signify when they were shown a word or a non-word. To even recognise these differences remark of high intelligence. With 75% accuracy they have shown us proof that they can identify up to 7.000 words.

As my own opinion of this matter I must say that baboons must indeed be very smart. Especially in the ZOO where this experiment was done. Even Darwin and his theory are of the same opinion as me. He also believe that humans are developped from apes, and since baboon is an ape specie, it must be, that they too are very intelligent. To have shown to the researchers that they could recognise these words is just a pinch of their ability to learn fast and eventually be as smart or even smarter than human beings.

The real secret of Samantha Brick.

The story about is about a girl, named Samantha Brick. She is claiming that she is so succesful in life due to the love of her father. She is convinced of the fact that girls who grow up without a father are doomed to live an awful life. Samantha herself was convinced during her puberty that she was not beautiful. As all teenagers, she thought every time she looked in the mirror, that she was fat, ugly and not allowed to live on this world. The love of her father helped her through as he was telling her every day that she was gorgeous and worth living this life!

I have the opinion that the life of girls who do grow up without a father are not doomed to live an awful life, as Samantha claims. This is because I myself am a girl who grew up without a father. I am still not pregnant at 19 years old and do not believe that I am ugly. And of course I have had my rough periods when I wanted a father figure, but a mom really can function for two people. What she is saying I absolutely do not agree with. 

The secret is within yourself, not within your father.
